February was marked by ISE 2026 which brought innovations and new opportunities for connections, which having attended the event we are most thankful for. Meanwhile, there is exciting news concerning the Las Vegas Sphere, other events coming in 2026, and a few more guidelines and use examples of digital signage.
The Sphere project is expanding!
Sphere Entertainment may be looking to the Middle East as a destination for the next big project. Sphere Executive Chairman and CEO James Dolan said that the focus is to expand Sphere’s global footprint, believing the company is positioned for long-term growth.

The company’s reported revenue for the fourth quarter reached $394.4 million. This is up 28% from the year earlier. Net income reached $28.9 million for the quarter, also up significantly from the net loss of $142.9 million a year earlier. This is the first profit made by the Sphere venue since opening in 2023. The much-talked-about topic at its launch was that the Sphere generated more expenses than revenue, with a total of $2.3 billion in development costs.
Given that the project has proven a success, it is clear expansion will follow. For more in-depth numbers on the success of the Sphere, take a look at the official press release.
The successes of ISE 2026
Integrated Systems Europe 2026 has set new benchmarks and achieved new successes. With over 92,000 attendees and 1,700 exhibitors, this year marked the largest show the event has ever delivered. The attendance reflects the interest and desire of the industry to move forward.
Aside from record numbers, there were also tech advances and reveals. For instance, LG’s introduction to its new Chip on Glass technology, integrating driver circuitry directly onto the glass substrate of a display. This produces thinner bezels and greater design flexibility.

As you know, the OnSign team attended the event, and we are thankful for having the opportunity to make new connections and engage with long standing customers and partners! In case you didn’t attend the event, invidis composed a lovely photo gallery of all the faces of ISE 2026. Take a look.

InfoComm EDGE coming in October 2026
During ISE 2026, Avixa announced plans for a new InfoComm event in the EMEA region, branded as InfoComm EDGE. The two-day event will take place in October at Dubai’s Festival Arena. Unlike the standard InfoComm show, InfoComm EDGE is planned to prioritize hands-on experiences and immersive events rather than standard experiences with exhibition booths.
“It’s challenging for high-level decision-makers to visualize solutions as they walk around a conventional trade show floor stand by stand,” said Cara Turner, the Event Director for InfoComm EDGE. “That’s why, for InfoComm EDGE, we are taking a unique approach by co-creating an event with the design and deployment community for the first time.”
The event will have plenty of opportunities for networking and engagement. The presentations are said to be more focused on narrative-led journeys rather than sales pitches. At the moment, these descriptions paint a vague picture of what the event itself will look like, but we’ll surely see more details and plans as we approach October.
The psychology of color
A recent post by Digital Signage Today talked about the use of color in outdoor retail digital signage. Initially, the key points included topics like emotional triggers and the impact color has on the motivation of the viewer. That being said, it also included other points which might not always be taken into consideration.
For example, color associations may vary across cultures, therefore it’s important to consider cultural context when choosing signage colors. This is noteworthy in instances where designers manage multiple locations or design for clients across the globe.
The post also summarized the subconscious impact a color makes on the viewer. For instance, red is commonly associated with urgency, ideally used to evoke excitement, or encourage an impulsive reaction. Blue is more calming, yellow is attention-grabbing, and green is tied to nature and health. Take a look at the full post to see specific examples and find out how these colors suit the goals of your own digital signage designs.
Industries benefiting most from digital signage
This month on the blog we expanded the topic of digital signage use across industries. We initially discussed the biggest of industries, such as hospitality and retail. These are easily at the forefront when it comes to utilizing digital displays to sell, engage, promote, and elevate the customer experience. Other sectors are healthcare, transportation, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, we expanded on the topic and summed up a few more industries which, although not at the forefront, are worth mentioning! Consider education, finance, cultural institutions, and real estate.
