As we constantly look for areas to improve the OnSign platform, we’ve utilized the power of AI to make processes easier, smoother, and more accessible for you as the user. At this year’s ISE, we showcased some of them, alongside other useful features. Below is a quick highlight reel of each for you to check out, in case you were unfamiliar with them.
Give them a glance, especially if you’re in the business of handling a large number of displays!
Smart alerts
As you run dozens or even hundreds of displays, you want to stay on top of any interference that may happen on your screen. A common issue are pop-up messages generated by your operating system, or any secondary software you might run. Pop-ups almost always come out of the blue and at unexpected times, so it’s important to immediately spot them.
Now, you can get alerts for these situations, as well as other instances such as unexpected black screens, frozen content, or other events, major or minor, which might obstruct your content from being shown.
You can utilize AI for other smart alerts as well, such as instances when high disc usage is detected across key players, or other conditions you may be interested in.
Placeholder AI image generation
Sometimes you need visual elements to fill out the screen, make certain gaps in content more appealing, or just boost the overall visual impact of your content.
As you work on your next Dynamic Composition, you can select an area of the screen where you need content, and provide a prompt to fill it in.
Build player groups
Using tags and grouping content is a must when handling a sea of devices and content elements. For players you can now command AI to group players based on similar criteria. AI will pull up a list of players for you to verify, to make sure you’ve selected the right ones to be matched together.
Advanced Monitoring
The OnSign platform takes screenshots of all your running screens in short intervals, providing you with a clear mosaic view of 100 screens at once. This is a great way to quickly glance and see if any player sticks out within your content.
Additionally, as these screenshots are taken in 12-minute intervals, you can take a look into past screenshots and get a clearer overview of what was happening. This approach provides an additional angle into any errors you possibly encounter.
OnSign Insights
You have long been familiar with report being an excellent way to check on how your content played. With Insights you can examine content playback across your whole network visually presented and with the option to drill down in more detail. This includes information such as tracked impressions, events, media use, as well as insights from programmatic digital signage.
You can see performance and diagnostics of programmatic data such as requests, fill rate, and more. Of course, error tracking is a big topic here, because you want everything running smoothly. Error spikes as well as their causes are now easier to track down, such as configuration errors.
